DIVIDING CUPS

Dividing cups are essential and unique for chinese tea ceremony. in order to avoid bitterness that occurs when brewing tea for too long, we  pour the liquids out of the tea pot after suggested brewing time (usually from 1 to 20 seconds.) One portion of tea leaf can usually be brewed for 6 to 20 times this way.




Choose a drinking cup that has slightly larger volume than your tea pot. It needs to be slightly larger so that when all the liquids are poured in, there are still 1 or 2 centimetres to the top. This way you won’t burn your fingers while holding it;)
