PLAYFUL OBJECTS


Playful objects made from clay are a popular traditional element in chinese tea ceremony.


In Chaozhou, Fujian, people are especially fond of Gongfu Tea. It’s a traditional way of drinking tea which engages a lot actions of pouring hot water over the tea wares and playful objects on the tea tray. This way, the objects are washed and warmed up and will be ready to function. This is why the playful objects nowadays are usually made of waterproof clay or stones.
