RED TEA

Through the ancient Silk Road, Chinese merchants brought red tea to Rome and started its legendary historical journey to conquer the world’s taste bud.

It is fully fermented and offers fragrance that are stale and mellow, sweet and brisk, smoky and rocky…

Red tea is directly withered, rolled, and then fermented without fixing the green tea. The tea polyphenols contained in it are oxidized and turned into red compounds. Some compounds are soluble in water, and some are insoluble in water and accumulate in the leaves, thereby forming red soup and red leaves.

Efficacy: The caffeine and aromatic substances contained in it have a diuretic effect, the tea is mild and warms the stomach.

Major sort of red tea include Zhengshan Xiaozhong red tea, Kung Fu red tea and fragmented red tea.

Features: Dry tea is dark in color, mellow in taste, bright red in soup, with maltose or caramel aroma.

Process: picking fresh leaves - withering - rolling - fermentation - drying
