We are coming to Berlin in April 11&12th with some wonderful authentic Chinese tea! This tea ceremony is in collaboration with the artful ceramist @saeam.kwon based in Berlin. Check out her work on Instagram or on web www.saeam-kwon.com
We will be using their carefully hand crafted tea utensils for the ceremony. And the ceremony will be followed by an open studio. You can buy special edition ceramic utensils from them which is usually hard to order!
The first half of April is subjected to 清明节气Qing Ming Solar term. It is a seasonal description for the rainy and capricious early spring weather, meaning clear air and bright lights. We will be celebrating this time of the year with three kinds of authentic tasteful Chinese whole leaf tea.

On Saturday the 16th of December, we warmly invite you to join an authentic chinese tea ceremony at the open studio of ceramist @michikoshida
The tea ceremony will be hosted by Ming from @teabyyuan, a Frankfurt based tea lifestyle brand. We are enthusiastic about not only tea, tea wares, and tea culture, but also in the modernisation of their aesthetics and the adaptation to a 21st century lifestyle.
Ming will offer you three kind of chinese whole leaf tea. We will start from the lighter taste and gradually build up the sensation to enter more intense flavours.
First brew: white tea little wild yellow.
Second brew: red tea golden needles.
Third brew: oolong tea nectar orchid.
These are three of our favourite teas and they are included in the tasting box. In the tasting box, you will find 8 kinds of our favoriate chinese tea. You can purchase the tea tasting box after the ceremony or online.

Breath & Brew: A Breathwork journey and Authentic Chinese

In this harmonious evening, we, Ming and Lee, would like to invite you to a journey of full of relaxation and deep flavours through the ancient practices of breathwork and Chinese tea ceremony.
In the first half, Lee will guide you through a profound breathwork journey towards a dreamless state. You’ll delve into different breathing techniques from Pranayama and contemporary breathwork schools, including Bellows Breath (Bhastrika), Circular Breathing, Breath Retention (Bahya & Antar Kumbhaka), etc. As body chemistry and brain waves changes, you’ll access deeper layers of your subconscious mind. This transformative practice transitions your mind from critical and logic thinking (gamma waves) to a restful (alpha waves) or deep reflective state (theta waves). While it's a shared experience, your journey is uniquely influenced by your current life circumstances, making it a remarkable opportunity to envision what you want to manifest in the New Year.
On the second half to ground yourself back from the breathing journey, Ming will capture your awareness and senses with an authentic and fragrant Chinese tea ceremony. As she walks you through the history, philosophy and poetry of this ancient tradition, you will have the opportunity to observe the elegant process of Chinese whole leaf tea brewing. You'll savour two seasonal teas: first, a soothing nectar orchid dancong oolong from Fenghuang Fujian followed by a robust, aged 5-year-old Pure Tea from Yunnan. These warm, neutral brews harmonise your body's energy, grounding you back with a new vision and a clear mind.
Gift yourself and perhaps a dear one a moment to connect with all of your senses though a heighten experience. We are looking forward to receiving you at the healing sanctuary of Resonance Room.

In dieser Veranstaltung möchten wir die bislang in Europa wenig bekannte zeitgenössische Teekultur in China vorstellen. Zunächst werden Yuan Ming und Stephan von der Schulenburg in das Thema einführen. Anschließend erhalten die Teilnehmer*innen die Möglichkeit, selbst an einer zeitlich etwas gestrafften Teezeremonie teilzunehmen. Diese wird geleitet von der Teemeisterin Qiao Hong, die eigens für diese Präsentation aus Chengu in Südwest-China nach Frankfurt kommt.

This is our second public event of tea tasting. Yet the first one that is hosted outdoor!
We will be sharing this tea experience in the charming garden of Hochschule für Bildenden Künste Städelschule.
The selected tea this time are light and brightening, white and green both cools down the fire in our body. Then we round up the session with a more intense and decent hug from a nice red tea.
